Here is a quick guide to wiki formatting (aka wikitext).

Wikis typically use weird punctuation to apply formatting to text without HTML. The Smart Enough Systems Wiki defaults to using the FCK WYSIWYG editor but can the Wikitext button can be clicked to provide a traditional wiki editing environment. The FCK editor has a toolbar that works fine for many things but, if you have problems, the Wikitext view is often the best way to solve them.

The syntax indicated inside the blue boxes will apply formatting as follows when editing in Wikitext view. . .
